Chad Perron: Music
Grace
Three examples of God's grace. Mary, mother of Jesus becoming pregnant before her marriage. The adultress brought to the square to be stoned. Last, the thief on the cross next to Jesus who turned at the last moment to know that he was the Son of God.
Hopeful, for the dawning, of a marriage, soon to be
Changed by, other plans made, for a child, born to me
Arranged by almighty God to deliver the world from its chains
But who will defend me from my loved one’s eyes pointing my blame
Grace, Grace, cared that my world could have fallen
Grace, Grace, carried me through my Lord’s calling . . . I need Your Grace
Sorrow, stretched like miles, on the sands of, barren shame
Comfort, there’s no comfort, for the pain of, who I am
Accused of unfaithfulness by the innocent leaders of men
The rage in their faces is as real as the stones in their hands
Grace, Grace, said that my sins were forgiven
Grace, Grace, stilled all my fears in a moment . . . I need Your Grace
Anger, like a torrent, floods my heart for, those I see
Anguish, turns to cursing, at the one hung, next to me
The strength of this dying man that he takes no offense on this cross
Reveals in an instant, and I humbly acknowledged my God
Grace, Grace, cried out my Father forgive them
Grace, Grace, told me I’d enter His kingdom . . . I need Your Grace
Grace, Grace, cries out my Father forgive them
Grace, Grace, tells me my sins are forgiven
Grace, Grace, God’s pure light piercing the darkness
Grace, Grace, stills all my fears in a moment . . . I need Your Grace
